The Living Program takes living together as a starting point for exchange, inviting participants from different cities and cultural backgrounds to stay at YÁO for a short period. By temporarily stepping outside their familiar surroundings, participants experience everyday life in Taichung, encountering people, places and experiences beyond their usual routines.

The programme does not require participants to produce artwork or present any outcomes. During their stay, YÁO and each participant will each organise an activity, drawing on everyday life, local experiences or personal interests. Through this brief period of living together, both sides share aspects of life that are familiar to one and perhaps unfamiliar to the other.
