The Other Show is an experimental programme developed by YÁO beyond its regular exhibitions. By exploring different spaces, times and formats, it opens up new possibilities for what a ‘show’ can be.

Without a fixed format, the programme may take the form of short-term exhibitions, live performances, workshops, open calls or collaborations across different spaces. It offers a more flexible platform for creative practices, collaborations and proposals at different scales and stages of development.

2026.05.01-05.03 “today I’m scoring a 76 out of 100” Today wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t bad either. Went to work as usual, sluggishly made it through the afternoon. The rush hour felt the same as always — only this time, with a sunset. Not perfect, not terrible. Maybe a 75 kind of day. But 75 feels too neat, like I was trying to make it sound okay. So I’m calling it 76.

2025.07.26 Open Practice: A Domestic Display Pedestal Project — Workshop Starting with the history of display pedestals, the artist guided participants through how their roles and meanings have evolved alongside changing artistic contexts. Participants were then invited to make their own display pedestals and consider which everyday objects from their homes might deserve a place on them.
